Olivia's fundraiser for Marie Curie

Walk & Talk · 25 March 2025
Losing my mum in 2017 and my brother in 2021 made me realise how little support exists for those navigating grief. Walking became my therapy—a way to reflect, heal, and connect with others who understand.
In March 2024, I walked 313km from Cardiff to London, covering a marathon a day for eight days, to honour my loved ones and raised £13,000 for Marie Curie. Along the way, people joined me—many who had experienced loss themselves—turning the journey into a powerful space for conversation, reflection, and community. It was during this walk that Walk and Talk was born, a space where healing happens, one step at a time.
In March 2025, I’m taking on the challenge again—this time, with an even bigger goal. I’m inviting more people to walk, talk, and support one another. Whether it’s a mile or a marathon, everyone is welcome. Let’s step forward together.
Last year, I set a fundraising target of £8,731—the cost of providing 24 hours of care at a Marie Curie Hospice. Reaching this amount meant they dedicated a day in memory of my loved ones.
This year, we're aiming even higher—a massive £30,000—to make the biggest impact we can. Every step we take and every pound we raise will help provide care, comfort, and support to those who need it most. Let’s do this together. 💛
