Story
In May 2025, I will be summiting three mountains in 24 hours to raise money for children's medical services. That's one mountain for each of the three nations that make up Great Britain. Only 40% of those who attempt 'The Three Peaks Challenge' succeed. That's why, between now and the day itself, I'll be training hard to ensure the mission is a success.
Never say no to adventures!
The Three Peaks Challenge involves summiting the three highest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Yr Wyddfa a.k.a. Snowdon (Wales) – all within 24 hours! The challenge covers 23 miles of hiking, with a total ascent of nearly 10,000 feet, and 450 miles travelling between the peaks! We'll be getting as much rest/sleep as possible on the journeys between mountains. But the time pressure means we will need to do somewhat insane things like starting our climb of Snowdon at 2am in the dark!
I won't be doing this alone; I'll be adventuring with my amazing colleagues from my real job (not the secret spy career) at Matrix Academy Trust.
