We are taking part in this years Kiltwalk as a family in memory of our wee Carol, raising funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Mum was diagnosed in 2017 and it changed life forever for us all, she never let it define her, carried on working, fought until the very end like the wee warrior she was! The Beatson offered so much comfort and support to us as a family over the years while mum was going through treatment from a safe space to talk, counselling and endless cups of tea and biscuits at appointments the volunteers work so hard! 💛

The staff organised a consultation at a salon for mum to choose a few wigs, such a tough day , lots of tears but I will always remember we had some laugh trying them on, we both almost went blonde 😂 great memories during the hardest time for her but that was mum always seeing a positive and staying strong.

There where times she couldn’t be strong and the staff where always at hand to offer support which as a family we will always be thankful for.

Mum loved the wellness centre on the top floor of the beatson, where she was pampered in their spa from massages to having her hair, make up and nails done. It’s such a lovely calm space for families to be together, activities for the kids, cinema room, wee cafe and beautiful views ….and for a bit you forget why your there 🥹

We are all still grieving missing her loads, but coming together as a family to raise funds for such a great charity.
