Story
Whilst at the gym, our beloved 16-year-old Dilan suffered a sudden brain haemorrhage caused by an undiagnosed and extremely rare form of Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). Sadly, he passed away instantly. He was just beginning his journey through life — full of kindness, joy, and a bright future ahead.
Dilan had no symptoms, no signs and no way for us to know what was silently happening inside. His loss was as sudden as it was devastating, and it has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
In Dilan’s memory and in place of flowers, we are raising funds for The Butterfly AVM Charity, the first UK-based organisation dedicated to supporting vital research, spreading awareness, and helping families affected by AVMs. These rare vascular conditions often go undetected — just as they did with Dilan — until it’s too late.
The Butterfly AVM Charity works tirelessly to change that, and your donation can help fund life-saving research and support others going through similar experiences. By supporting this charity, we hope to honour Dilan’s life by helping others. Your donations will fund critical work that could one day lead to earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and ultimately, save lives.
Dilan was a passionate conservationist who believed in making a difference. He cared deeply for the planet and those around him, always encouraging kindness, awareness, and positive change. Though just 16, he carried a spiritual wisdom beyond his years — seeing life with a depth and clarity that left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Please join us in remembering Dilan and making a difference in his name. No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
Forever in our hearts. Dilan Jai Khurana 🦋.
