Story
Eric Liddell, 400m gold medallist 100 years ago at the Paris 1924 Olympics and celebrated in Chariots of Fire, gave his life to serving others. His service continues in the work of the Eric Liddell Community, an Edinburgh based charity providing support for people with dementia and their carers. My father died with dementia. Because of our family connection with Edinburgh and my desire to honour Eric Liddell's legacy I am cycling 400 miles in September – a mile for each metre of his Olympic race.
