I'm competing in Tough Mudder to raise money for Alzheimer's Research. We lost my Dad ( Ross' Granddad) to Alzheimer's in 2016. We'd actually lost our Dad a couple of years prior to that - his personality being lost in the throes of confusion, symptomatic of Alzheimer's.

The one thing I absolutely did not want to happen was Dad to be defined by Alzheimer's. This absolutely amazing man with whom I was blessed to have as my Dad!

I was given the opportunity to take the funeral service myself, with my children speaking. We showed many family photos and videos of the man that had been - loving the company of his family and friends, laughing, partying, enjoying all his sports and just generally embracing life!

Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease and any money that could be contributed to help with research would be amazing!
