Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the first weekend of August, a group of us will be walking coast to coast, from Wallsend to Solway Firth along Hadrian's Wall. The route itself is just shy of 90 miles, underlining the scale of the challenge.
The challenge will raise money for the New Hope Children's Centre, which is a facility dedicated to rescuing and raising orphaned children and abandoned babies in Uplands, Kenya (located around 20-25 miles outside of Nairobi).
Previous fundraisers for New Hope and the surrounding community have looked to build vital infrastructure such as, classrooms, libraries and houses. This year, we are raising money to pay for further essentials including food, formula milk for babies, blankets, plates, cups and cooking pots. These resources are of even greater necessity to the community, given the global cost of living crisis.
I have selected an ambitious funding raising target of £500 for the challenge. Any donations are deeply appreciated and will make a huge difference to the lives of the individuals within the community.
