I have never reached out to my network of friends and colleagues before, for fundraising, but this June I am doing the Kilt Walk in Aberdeen for Growing2gether. You can change children's lives with us! I founded my third charity, Growing2gether in 2017. We are a Scottish charity working with disengaged young people. With us young people discover how precious they are and how much they have to contribute to the world. With

their aspiration regenerated, our young people learn to believe in themselves again; changing their mindset, to live their values and their place in the world.

Our recipe is both simple and profound. Young people come to us and we mentor them using positive psychology in a trauma informed way. Then we take them into nursery classes and pair them as a mentor to very young children facing similar challenges. It doesn't stop there - our young people graduate, move on to then become catalysts for change in their local communities by designing and delivering youth social action projects to contribute to the needs of their communities.
