Story

Welcome to my JustGiving page! Thank you for supporting me in the Sierra Leone Marathon.

“In the Joy of Others, Lies Our Own, In the progress of others rests our own, In the good of others abides our own, Know this to be the key to peace and happiness"- His Holiness Guruhari Pramukh Swami Maharaj" .....And

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep—you are richer than 75 percent of this world. If you have money in the bank or in your wallet, or spare change in a dish someplace—you rank among the top 8 percent of the world’s wealthy. If you can read this book—you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all" - Mark Batterson, If: Trading Your If Only Regrets for God's What If Possibilities

I'm excited to support Street Child, an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable street children, and play my part to increase that 75%, in the words of my guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj “In the Joy of Others, Lies Our Own", being able to change just 1% of the lives Pramukh Swami moved will be a huge achievement.

Please donate anything you can, no matter how big or small as it will make a huge impact.

A little about Street Child:

With your contribution, Street Child can provide these children with hope, education, and a brighter future. Every donation, big or small, makes a significant impact, and I'm deeply grateful for your support. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of street children! We are helping Street Child ensure children are safe, in school and learning.

When Street Child started working in Sierra Leone in 2008, it was the poorest nation in the world. Today, children continue to face significant barriers to learning, with 36% of children never completing primary school and many more leaving school without foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Without intervention, children risk getting stuck in a cycle of illiteracy and poverty.

The communities we serve need us to act. We are determined to do just that.

Street Child is an international charity that works to help children living on the streets in 15 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. We provide these children with essential services such as education, healthcare, and protection, and they also work to empower them to reach their full potential. Street Child's work has a real impact on the lives of the children they help. For example, in Sierra Leone, we helped to reduce the number of children living on the streets by over 50%. In Nepal, we have provided over 100,000 children with access to education. And in India, we have helped to train over 10,000 young people in vocational skills.

We have the experience. We have the skills. We have the plan. Now we need you.

Your support of the Sierra Leone Marathon is critical to the work we do as it is with your support we have been able to support over 749,920 children into education and support 89,773 families to set up businesses.
