At the ripe young age of 65 I've decided to set myself the challenge of running a 10k race, a feat I have never attempted before. As part of the Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon event taking place on 7th December 2024 I have signed up to complete the 10k run, hopefully in around one hour.

As well as challenging myself, I saw this as an ideal opportunity to raise funds for the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation, a charity close to my heart, having been involved since it was founded in 2019. I've seen first hand the huge difference the charity has made to so many worthy causes, selected charities and other projects primarily youth-related and with a view to assisting less-privileged children. The Foundation's website shows the great work being done.
