Running for Mental Health: Our Journey with the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025
Each year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. This statistic represents not just a number, but real people—our friends, family, colleagues, and perhaps even ourselves. Yet, despite the prevalence of mental health issues, hundreds of thousands still struggle in silence. This is why we have decided to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2025 in support of Mind, a remarkable charity that believes no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. Mind is there to listen, to provide support and advice, and to fight for those who can't fight for themselves.
Demi’s Running Journey
I’ve never been a fan of running—actually, I’ve avoided it for most of my life. But this year, I decided to challenge myself by signing up for a half marathon to support a cause that means a lot to me. This journey is way outside my comfort zone, and starting from scratch hasn’t been easy. Every run feels like a new hurdle —I’m just here to finish the race and make a difference for a great cause.
How Your Donations Can Make a Difference:
- £20: Provides an hour of online peer support, offering a lifeline to those who need to connect with others experiencing similar challenges.
- £40: Helps keep Mind's information line running, ensuring those in need can get essential advice and support.
- £50: Supports Mind's campaigns for better mental health services from the Government, making systemic change that benefits everyone.
- £100: Covers the cost of Mind’s information or legal advisor lines for an entire day, providing critical assistance to those navigating complex mental health issues.
