Story
I am going to be, hopefully, walking all of the Wainwrights mountains/ peaks throughout the year (2023). Some facts about this challenge include there being 214 Wainwright peaks up in the lake district. It will cover around 400 miles or so of walking and scaling upwards of over 100,000 feet which is over 30,000 metres of climbing! Not too far from being Mt Everest 4 times!! Currently in planning I aim to do it across 20 or so different days/ walks so each day I will be covering on average over 20 miles. Some more, some less...
Reasons for me doing this challenge are that I have freed up a load of time reducing my coaching and playing rugby at the moment so needed something to do along with turning 30 this year so why not!! Not getting any younger like... Also, The Christie looked after my mum many years ago so it is always good to pay something back.
UPDATE: My mum has since been given the all clear and has been discharged after many years of follow up so more the reason to keep on pushing!
Thanks in advance for supporting and if anyone is wanting to join me on any of the journeys then please give me a shout. Already have a few guests lined up so feel free to jump in :)
