On Saturday 16th November 2024 I'll be taking to the dancefloor in a Strictly Challenge for Queenscourt Hospice with my pro partner Anna!

My dance experience isn't much, I attended ballet until I was 10 and haven't danced much since, although I do like to dance on a night out.

My beautiful Nan died with cancer and Queenscourt provided care for her after diagnosis. She loved Strictly in it's early days.

When my daughter Autumn was born we watched Strictly together and it was then that she got an interest in dance, she attends dance classes in Southport at ACE studios with Anna and has been her pupil for 6 years.

As a Slimming World consultant, my groups support our members to lose weight and reduce the risk of cancer from obesity, I couldn't be more proud of them and the fundraising and challenges we have completed together including Star Trek over the years and especially this year in 2024 with over 40 members taking part in the biggest one yet!

Anna has 4 stone and been a target member of my groups with 3 and a half stone loss for over 5 years. She is my friend and a fellow Slimming World Consultant so when I was approached to do Strictly Queenscourt I asked her to partner with me! I was thrilled when she said YES and I'm loving learning something new in our rehearsals, her patience and expertise has been fabulous to now and I hope I can do my daughter Autumn, my Nan, Anna and all our supporters proud on the night.

Queenscourt Hospice is a local charity that provides support for the people of West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.

Queenscourt provides access to Specialist Palliative Care either at home (including care homes), hospital or in Queenscourt via the Inpatient Unit or as an Outpatient. Queenscourt at Home supports patients, and those important to them, to be cared for in their own home, if that is their preference.

Queenscourt has an holistic approach to Palliative Care to ensure patients have their physical, psychological, spiritual and social care needs assessed, and to provide access to multi-professional Health Care Team for specialist support.
