We are a team who all work in the decontamination unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital and we are competing in the dragon boat race at the 2024 UK Dragonboat Festival. Our team name is the DECON DEMONS and we consist of 10 paddlers and a drummer. The dragon boat race will be at Salford quays on 8th June so if you would like to come and watch I’m sure it will be a great family day out too.

We have pledged to raise £2000 between us for the northcare charity, our hospital trust charity. This money will then be passed onto the children’s unit sunshine appeal.

The Sunshine Appeal will fundraise towards enhancing the Children’s Unit at Royal Oldham Hospital, breathing new life into this space, turning it into a vibrant and therapeutic sanctuary for our young patients and their families.
