Story
Once again, I will be participating in the Hike for Hospice Calgary. This year it's being held on May 5th in Fish Creek Park.
As you may recall, I sat on the Board for Hospice Calgary for eight years. Hospice Calgary is a great organization that provides palliative care to those in their final stage of life, and also provides grief counselling to those families who are in the process of losing someone or who have lost someone – be it from sudden death, illness or other circumstances. Group and individual counselling sessions are provided to children, teens and families – and as the testimonials on the Hospice Calgary website show, this has been a positive life line for those individuals.
With your help, the money I raise will support families coping with advanced illness or the death of someone close to them. My goal is to raise $3,500.
Please consider donating to my fundraiser and sharing this message with your friends and family. Donating is easy, and every gift will receive a tax-deductible receipt.
Also, if you know of anyone who could benefit from grief counselling, please tell them about Hospice Calgary and our Children’s Grief Centre & Living with Advanced Illness Centre.
Thank you for your support!
