Story

I'm supporting Shine by taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2024!

I am a Shine Support and Development Worker for the Shine Charity and provide support to many of our Child members families and Adult members. I am also running in support of the people past and present who have been impacted by the conditions Shine Charity supports and have left a lasting impression.

I am not in the best running fitness condition and being 50 years old the aches and pains are there! :)

I have a background working in Health and Fitness many moons ago and I am trying my best to get the miles covered, although I am not as running fit as I used to be. I am determined to take part in the London Landmarks half marathon and get to the finish line in one piece!

Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life. Everything we do is made possible by our generous supporters. Your donation helps individuals and families in your local communities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Every donation has the potential for a profound impact.

THANK YOU for supporting Shine and giving what you can afford! :)
