Story
Update: I’m now more than one week into my walk and have completed 200km of my 300km adventure. A big thank you to everyone that has donated; it really is wonderful. The weather has been fabulous, the scenery is beautiful and I’ve loved visiting many welcoming churches along the way.
On 14 September I’m setting out to walk the London to Walsingham Camino in memory of my parents Derek and Phyllis. I’ll be raising money for the upkeep of Norfolk Churches, which were so close to their hearts, especially St James the Great, Castle Acre, where they are now buried.
I’m recording little snippets of my journey here: https://www.youtube.com/@debbiethackray6762
Dad helped found the Friends of Castle Acre Church and for many years he did the annual sponsored Bike Ride for the Norfolk Churches Trust. Now I’d like to walk in memory of Dad and Mum, starting in London on the day of the NCT’s Bike Ride and Walk. I hope to complete the 178 mile/287km in 14 days.
