Story
Hi
I have stupidly signed up to do the coastal ramble again. 21.5 miles Whitby to Scarborough to raise vital funds for this amazing charity that are supporting me on my brain tumour journey. As most of you will know I had an urgent craniotomy to remove a very large grade 2 atypical meningioma brain tumour. I also have one on watch & wait. I have an mri scan every 3 month to monitor any growth. I live in 3 month windows and struggle with scan- xiety but the charity support me through delivering well- being sessions and walks which I attend with my husband.
Last year I cried through the last 7 mile it was awful I was in so much pain but I was determined to finish as people had sponsored me. This year I am in the process of slimming down and training in the gym 3 times a week. I am determined to beat my time and raise as much money as possible. It is also my wedding anniversary the same day. So I am dragging the husband along to support me. I am walking it alone.
I am living a new life of making new memories and would like to thank you all for the support. It means so much to me.
Debs xx
