Story
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
I sadly lost my grandad Arthur to Alzheimers in 1985, when treatment was limited and patients were often cared for in a Psychiatric Hospital.
My Aunt Iris also had dementia and sadly passed away in May 2022.
My beautiful mum Sheila was diagnosed with Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia in February last year, having had problems with her memory and anxiety for several years. Mums memory is deteriorating but she still remembers her beloved sister Iris.
There are now new treatments available and hopefully we are getting closer to a cure for this terrible illness.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Debbie.
