Story

Story:

For those who know me, will be fully aware that running the London Marathon has been the one running event I wanted to conquer. Year on year I have put into the ballot, to each entry get the 'Sorry not this time' memo....

2023 has been very different. This year we have been truly heartbroken to lose one of our closest friends, Paul Shepherd (Sheps/Paulo) who sadly passed away whilst holidaying with his beautiful family, Becky, Jake & Archie.

Paul, also a keen runner, had not suffered any previous heart conditions, yet was prematurely taken from us following a cardiac arrest at aged 46.

This run is a way of remembering Sheps whilst also raising funds and awareness of the amazing work The British Heart Foundation do. I have been given this chance by the BHF to have a charity place, along with Pauls brother Dom, to run our socks off and raise what we can along the way.

With the help of all my friends/family/colleagues and basically anyone who just wants to help, my goal is to smash the target of £2500 so I would really appreciate any sponsorship you can kindly spare.

Thanks All, Deano
