Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
Some of you may already be aware of our annual charity cycle event, where a number of great people from around BCA embark on a 3-day cycle challenge to raise much needed funds for a small charity called Action For A-T.
Action For A-T receive no national funding and although the funds we have helped them raise so far has made a huge difference to their research we want to help raise as much as possible for them to continue their great work.
Thursday 14th - Saturday 16th September.
Is our annual charity cycling event where myself and circa 60 colleagues from around BCA, will be embarking on a 3-day cycle, pedalling 250+ miles.
This year we will be pedalling from our BCA Paddock Wood Auction Centre to Brussels, departing on Thursday 14th travelling south west to Dover to catch the ferry to Calais. Day 2 we will head down the coast towards Ghent and then onto the final leg into Brussels on day 3, finishing on Saturday 16th April.
Anyone who has a child diagnosed with Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T) realises immediately and agonisingly that their lives will be changed forever and that the future holds a number of very difficult challenges for their child both physically and emotionally. Founded in January 2012 by parents of a child diagnosed with A-T, Action for A-T understand what that feeling is like and is committed to making a difference to those affected by funding high quality medical research. In the UK, research funding for A-T is extremely limited so Action for A-T was established to increase investment in A-T research and raise awareness of the condition.
