My Mam was diagnosed with womb cancer in late 2023. As a family this was hard to take given the loss of my father in 2022 to cancer as well.

My Mam began her journey requiring regular travel to Freeman Hospital in Newcastle on a regular basis for appointments, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy as she battled hard. This was going to be very stressful and difficult for us as a family to support this. However daft as a brush stepped in and took my Mam to all appointments and ensured the stress was removed during a tough time.

I am running the Great North Run to raise vital funds for this amazing charity that helps a lot of families on a regular basis. Please give as much as you can to this wonderful cause.
