Story
On 31 August, over 20 deaf young people from Deaf Action’s Youth Club will take on an exciting 5km inflatable race to raise funds for the residents of Slateford Green, Deaf Action's supported accommodation for deaf adults.
Located within the Dunedin Canmore Housing Association development at Slateford Green, Edinburgh, our accommodation is designed to provide support for deaf adults who have physical disabilities, learning difficulties, periods of mental ill-health, or other health and wellbeing issues. More information on our supported accommodation can be found here: https://deafaction.org/services/care-in-the-community/supported-accommodation-edinburgh/
Our team of amazing young people are aiming to raise £3,000, which will to go towards making an accessible garden allotment for residents, office renovations to make the space more welcoming for residents and visitors, and trips/days out for the residents to improve their wellbeing.
As a team, and with your support, we believe we can make this happen! 🤞
We greatly appreciate any donation made to support our cause. Every penny makes a difference!
