Story

Give up something for Lent and help WaterAid reach even more people with access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

Take part in WaterAid's Lent Appeal. Give up something for Lent, fundraise and donate to WaterAid. You could help give mothers like Mastewal the gift of clean water.

Give up something small that you use or buy often, and then either donate the money you save or fundraise for going without. Whether it's those tempting snacks like crisps or chocolate, or a daily takeaway coffee - it all adds up. A cup of coffee or a chocolate bar a day makes all the difference, and will help a family get reliable, clean water.

You could also think about giving up a habit instead - like taking long showers, spending too much time on your phone or throwing away food.

Get creative with your ideas and make Lent both enjoyable and rewarding. Your support can help communities stay healthy, earn a living, and be better prepared for the future.
