I've volunteered to fundraise for DCCF, a small, local charity, after hearing about its work to help families suffering extreme financial hardship alongside a cancer diagnosis.

This will be a big challenge for me, but I want to raise awareness and hopefully some money for this great local charity which is doing such valuable work in our communities.

The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation (DCCF) was founded in April 2013 by Eve Went, Leslie May Harrison and Pam Jeffries, after going through cancer themselves and seeing first-hand how many people struggle financially during their cancer journey. The charity’s primary aim is to provide financial assistance to Dorset residents and their families who are experiencing financial hardship due to cancer. The DCCF also occasionally offers cancer-related financial support to local support groups, organisations, hospitals, and hospices.
