Story

I am running in the mini-marathon for Greenwich and Bexley Hospice, in memory of my amazing dad. He would always play football with me, take me to the park, and would never let me get bored. Whatever I was interested in he would always try to be involved so he could spend more time with me. He was truly the greatest dad someone could ever ask for.

On March 1st, 2020, he passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 46, from Cholangiocarcinoma. He passed away surrounded by family. This wouldn't have been possible without the hospice. They provided a hospital bed and regular home check-ups to make sure he was comfortable. They also supported my mum too. I will be eternally grateful for the hospice's service, and for that reason, they hold a very special place in my heart.

This year will be my last mini marathon and I am so grateful to have taken part these last three years, and who knows, maybe I'll do a full marathon one day! And beat my dads best time of course.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and sponsor me for my run.
