Racing across the Atlantic for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Story

On 12 December 2023, Oldham Athletic A.F.C.'s chair, Frank Rothwell will race solo across the Atlantic in the World’s Toughest Row for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

This incredible challenge will take 73-year-old Frank 3,000-miles across the world’s second largest ocean, from the Canary Islands to Antigua, and will be the second time that he has taken on this race for the charity.

Because if nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.

Frank wants to stop dementia from robbing us of everything that matters. Our memories. Our connections. Our story.

Alzheimer’s Research UK exists for a cure, and we won’t stop until everyone is free from the heartbreak of dementia.
