As you all know, my beautiful wife and mother to Ben & Olivia tragically passed away on Wednesday 29th May 2024 at 10.20pm at The Christie Hospital, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Dawn was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) in September 2023. IBC is a rare and aggressive breast cancer and Dawn did everything in her power to overcome this awful disease and you know what a fighter she was. I can only liken it to trying to put out a fire with only a thimble of water. Dawn experienced the most difficult of challenges in her nine month battle.

When Dawn was diagnosed we were shocked to find out how little research and funding there was available, only 2% of breast cancers are diagnosed as IBC.

Alongside her own fight, it was Dawn's mission to raise awareness about IBC and to raise funds in aid of Inflammatory Breast Cancer UK which will enable much needed research at the Birmingham University Hospital.

As a family we intend to continue with Dawn's mission and raise as much money for this underfunded and underexposed charity in several ways:

It was Dawn's request to only have family flowers at her funeral, therefore if you would like to make a donation to the charity instead of flowers we would be very grateful.

Owen & Louie Warner will be taking part in the Super Human Games on Saturday 29th June.

Libby Martin is taking part in the Manchester half marathon on 13th October.

We have a Manchester United signed shirt to auction.

In addition, Dawn's employer Routes Healthcare, intend to make IBC Uk their supported company charity.

I will include a link to the IBC charity which covers information regarding Inflammatory Breast Cancer, please take a look and in Dawn's words "Keep checking your boobies"

On behalf of myself, Ben & Olivia, Fran & Ian,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your words of comfort and support and any donations made,

xxxxx
