University of Leeds Goes Red for Heart Month

Dawn Best is raising money for British Heart Foundation
“Heart Month”
Across the UK, researchers at our BHF Centres of Research Excellence will be taking part in a Go Red fundraising competition. The winning centre will receive a bespoke trophy and 5 invitations to the Heart Hero Awards 2025!

Story

The Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine is taking part in "Go Red" for Heart Month to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by one of our early career scientists, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us to raise as much as we can to support this amazing charity. Thank you!
