Story
Our lovely Uncle, David Lee died on 3rd September 2023.
David lived most of his life in Exmouth, a town he loved, where he grew up with his sister, Diana. He worked for many years as a local solicitor and was well known in the community. He was a keen gardener, loved nature and wildlife especially Dartmoor. Music was extremely important to him and brought him great joy, playing both the organ and the piano beautifully. He adored antiques, especially clocks and his house rings the time continually. He loved history and was extremely proud of his heritage and family roots. David was also a deeply charitable and philantropic person, tirelessly supporting numerous charities and causes over the course of his life.
A gentle soul, David had a deep sense of faith and a life long association with Glenorchy Church in Exmouth, where he worshipped and played the organ for many decades.
We will be celebrating and remembering David’s life on Friday, 13th October at Glenorchy United Reform Church, Exeter Road, Exmouth EX8 1PL at 2pm. All friends and family are welcome at the service.
We welcome donations in memory of David for the OPEN DOOR CHARITY in Exmouth.
A wonderful and inclusive charity at the heart of the Exmouth community since 1995. They are a multi-project charity supporting anyone who needs a friendly face, safe space, or a little extra help in Exmouth. The charity is one of the many causes David supported during his life.
