Story
I’m David Vandenberg, and I’m proud to sit on the Board of Halton Women's Place. For the past 7 years, I’ve walked in the Hope in High Heels Walk because I believe in a future where no woman has to live in fear.
This year’s walk, Hope in Every Step, takes place on November 2nd in Burlington during Women Abuse Prevention Month. It’s a powerful event, but more than that, it’s a critical effort to raise funds for Halton Women's Place—the only women’s shelter in the region, offering refuge and support to women and children escaping violence.
To those of you who have donated in the past, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has made a world of difference, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve contributed. Your generosity continues to provide crucial resources for women and children in need.
This year, every pledge—whether large or small—is another step toward safety and healing for survivors of domestic violence. Every dollar raised goes directly to Halton Women's Place, funding the essential programs that help women and children rebuild their lives.
Whether you’re walking, pledging, or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for being part of this movement. Together, we can create a future free from violence, one step at a time.
