Telling the stories the world needs to hear can come at great risk to freelance journalists, many of whom have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their important work.

The Rory Peck Trust exists to protect these professional journalists globally. It provides safety training, professional psychological support and critical financial assistance through its Safety Training, Therapy and Crisis Funds. The Trust is committed to people who provide a vital contribution to international newsgathering-- and uphold our democratic freedoms.
