Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, I have signed up to run the London marathon this April.
While I enjoy a leisurely run and have kicked off January with some early training runs, the 26.2 miles of the London marathon will be my longest and hardest run yet.
I have chosen to run the marathon in aid of the Kleinfelter’s Syndrome Association - in the hopes of raising both money and awareness. For those who don’t know Klinefelter syndrome, also called 47,XXY, is a chromosomal condition that affects 1 in 600 males. The signs and symptoms of Klinefelter syndrome vary. In some cases, the features are so mild that the condition is not diagnosed until puberty or adulthood. Researchers believe that up to 65 percent of people with Klinefelter syndrome are never diagnosed.
This is a condition close to our heart with our very own Ollie being diagnosed at a young age.
Myself, Emma and everyone at the Kleinfelter’s Syndrome Association would really appreciate any donations - large or small - that you could make!
