David's fundraiser for The Albion Foundation

The Albion Foundations Cycle Challenge from Hull · 13 March 2025 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Baggies Bike Challenge is now in its eleventh year and we are appealing for supporters to join us and help raise funds for the Foundation as we strive to continue our award-winning work in the community.
The challenge will kick off on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 returning to The Hawthorns in time for the game against Watford on Saturday, April 12th. I am cycling 165 miles from Watford's Vicarage Road Stadium back to the Black Country with the other riders, backed by a support team who will be on hand to assist with any mechanicals, in order to raise funds for The Albion Foundation as they strive to continue to make a positive difference within the local community
Extra challenge for me this year as I will be doing this challenge after having recently had an Arthroscopy on my right knee!
So why am I doing it:
The Albion Foundation runs a number of initiatives in support of the local community, including Alzheimer’s cafes, food parcel deliveries, educational initiatives in schools to help those that are struggling to achieve, mentoring and improving attainment with children in care or foster homes, opening up opportunities in disability sport, running sports initiatives in anti-social hot-spots and supporting sports development for girls. The Foundation went above and beyond during the pandemic: 110,000 food parcels delivered, 10,500 phone calls made by ex-players to the elderly and over 7,000 educational sessions delivered!
