Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
During the May half term, we plan to cycle 100 miles off-road along the South Downs Way in support of Solidarity Sports.
The Challenge:
The 100 miles (160 Km) long South Downs Way National Trail, from Winchester to Eastbourne, follows the old routes and droveways along the chalk escarpment and ridges of the South Downs. It is off road, and hilly, with about 4,150 m (13,620 ft) of ascent and descent.
We plan to ride the route over five days as a family, with our three boys, Thomas (14), Toby (11) and Kit (9), carrying all that we will need for the journey with us, and staying in B&Bs/ hostels and campsites along the way.
The Charity:
We have chosen to support Solidarity Sports as we are all passionate about sport, and have all enjoyed its benefits over the years. Solidarity Sports harnesses the transformative power of play to nurture disadvantaged children recovering from complex trauma. They support children's healing through sports, healthy eating, arts, educational trips, mentorship programmes and holidays within the UK and abroad
