We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

The RNLI is a charity very close to my heart and the work the volunteers do has always amazed me. I am raising money in memory of my grandfather, Eifion Price, who volunteered as a doctor at the Burry Port Lifeboat station for 30 years and died in 1996.

My nan, Sally Price, is a huge supporter of the RNLI and has been involved in charity events for the RNLI for decades. My father, Wyn Price and Uncle, Julian Price have also volunteered in summers gone by when they were younger.

Having holidayed in Aberdyfi every summer all my life, I witnessed countless times when I was younger the lifeboat and crew responding to emergencies and wondering where they were going, not really realising the risks they were taking in efforts to save other people. I am aiming to raise awareness of this incredible selfless work that they do and raise money to enable the volunteers to continue savings lives on the beaches around the UK.

Any and every donation towards this cause is greatly appreciated! In preparation for the 2025 TSC London Marathon (which I deferred in 2024 due to injury), I will be providing training updates as well as sharing other fundraising activities I will be partaking in, so please follow along to see my journey!

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI's help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They are the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place. Thank you.
