Story

Hi. I'm David Prescott and I'm running the London Marathon in memory of my father late John Prescott and Alzheimers Research UK.

Last November, my father passed away after living with Alzheimer’s.

Almost a million people in the UK are living with dementia, a number that continues to grow.

If nothing changes, one in two of us will have our lives impacted by dementia, either as a carer, by developing the condition ourselves or both.

Dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK and costs the economy £42b a year.

It will soon become the UK's most expensive health condition unless we can find a cure.

Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

That's why I'm doing my bit and I hope you can donate

Your donation will help their scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and hopefully find a cure for for this cruel and hateful condition.

Thank you.

David
