Tackle Prostate Cancer fundraises to help support groups across the UK who are run by people who have been impacted by prostate cancer. These support groups provide a safe space that help others through their prostate cancer journey.
While reviewing my papers, computer files and social media a few weeks it suddenly occurred to me with a great shock how many people within my personal sphere had died, suffered from or been impacted by prostate and breast cancer. I know other people’s experience will be different which is why I have referred to my ‘personal sphere’; this includes family, friends, work colleagues and acquaintances with whom I am connected. Of course within this personal sphere there are many causes of tragedy and mishap, my own dear mother died from bone cancer but that was a secondary of lung cancer from years of smoking - for those who haven’t yet stopped - BLOODY WELL PACK IT IN!. I digress. Nevertheless, the list of tragedy is headed by some margin by prostate and breast cancer which is what shocked me and so I decided to do some little thing to help.
Yes, yes I know other people run marathons, climb Everest or swim the channel but I have decided to grow a ‘tache during November. In truth the ‘tache is a bit scabby because during the first two weeks or so I kept forgetting I was growing one so the razor slipped and took a slice off so what I have is what I have left. Not as white as I had expected nor as full but there we are! So let’s give the cancer causes some help and give me some dosh - please.🤣🤣🤣
