Story
Starting on 10th August, together with Ross Stirling and David Lambert I'll be attempting to climb the iconic Matterhorn (4478 metres) (the one on the Toblerone packet), run the 221km of the Haute Route trail from Zermatt to Chamonix and then climb Mont Blanc (4809 metres) the highest mountain in Europe).
I am aiming to raise funds for the amazing work that Duchenne UK do and in support of the inspirational Henry Saul. I've had the privilege of standing on the top of a few mountains with Henry for his Henry's Hills challenges and hope I can borrow a small amount of his determination, positive attitude and sense of humour over the next few days.
Henry's Hills supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
Thank you, any support would be gratefully received. Together, we will end Duchenne.
