Story
I'm challenging myself and raising funds to support The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. All support is hugely appreciated!!
All funds raised going specifically towards HOME CARE, to help enable people living with dementia to remain in their own home and community, for as long as possible. All funds raised remain in the local area.
Many of you reading this will have parents, grandparents, neighbours, or know someone in your area living with dementia. ASI provide a fantastic service and support.
I, along with a few work colleagues will be ATTEMPTING :-) to climb the highest peaks in Scotland , England , and Wales ..... within 24hrs, starting Friday 16th June.
The Total trip is over 2000km driving from Kerry to Scotland, England , Wales, and back home again. During that time the 24hr Challenge starts on Friday at 2pm with the aim of climbing Ben Nevis (Sco), Scafell Pike (Eng), and Snowdon (Wal) and travel between all 3.... in one go.
Thats 42KM hiking, 3,000m of ascent , 11hrs driving.... within 24hrs!!
Handy out sure :-)
Wish me luck, and all donations to the ASI Alzheimer Society of Ireland very welcome.
I'll keep ye all updated along the way.
Dave
