Story
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
In November this year I will be taking on a challenge called 'The Beast' to raise money for the St James's Place Charitable Foundation in aid of two charities - Abby's Heroes and Alfie's Wish.
This challenge involves me running/walking every day in November (so far so good).
However, the real kicker is the distance I have to complete each day. I need to complete the day of the month throughout the whole of November.
So on day 1 I cover a mile, day 2 is 2 miles, day 3 is 3 miles and so on throughout the month. This adds up to a total of 465 miles to be completed in just 30 days, with 189 of those being compressed into the final week.
The rules are very simple:
The plan is to run as much as possible but I am allowed to walk.
I can break down the mileage for the day. For example on day 20 I could run 10 miles in the morning and 10 miles in the evening.
And that's it!
Why Alfie's Wish and Abby's Heroes?
I have several friends and former colleagues who are directly involved with both charities. I've been so impressed by the work they do supporting children, young adults and their families when diagnosed with cancer. The charities offer financial and practical help as well as funding days out to make special memories.
I want to help these charities by raising money to enable the much needed support they offer to continue, and also to increase awareness of the amazing work they are doing.
If you can donate it would be amazing! Donating through the St James's Place Charitable Foundation means ALL funds raised will be sent to Abby's Heroes and Alfie's Wish. SJP will match the money raised, which stays within the SJP Charitable Foundation to allow them to carry out the amazing charitable work they do.
Thank you so much for visiting this page and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
