Now, more than ever, expert and compassionate care is needed to ensure people die in a place of their choice, with dignity and in comfort. But costs are rising exponentially, making it harder to care for everyone who needs it, especially as only a fraction of the costs are covered by the NHS. So, until hospice care is properly funded they will depend on fundraising events such as this to make ends meet.
