Ride of remembrance For Grace

We invite you to be a part of a meaningful and very special event, the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Memorial Charity Motorbike and car Ride, On Sunday 19th May 2024. This event is dedicated to honouring the memory of Grace O'Malley Kumar, a remarkable young woman who tragically lost her life in Nottingham attack in June 2023, an incident that garnered worldwide attention. The primary goal of this event is to raise funds for the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation, established in her name.

Grace O'Malley Kumar, a dedicated medical student, and a member of the England Hockey team, was a cherished friend to many. To pay tribute to her, the charity motorbike ride will be on Sunday 19th May 2024 from North Weald Airfield in Essex. We intend to conclude our journey at Newark Showground Newark Coddington, where Grace's family will be there to welcome you all and be able to show their appreciation.

North Weald Airfield gates will open at 8 am providing an opportunity for riders/drivers and pedestrians to gather and enjoy refreshments which you will have to purchase from many refreshment stalls, also make use of restroom facilities before setting off at 11 am. Our dedicated Marshalls will be on hand to guide and assist you.

To participate in this ride of remembrance and contribute to this noble cause, the entrance fee is £10.00 per bike rider or £15.00 if you're riding with a pillion passenger. If paid in advance through the link, please keep in mind that it's crucial to show proof of purchase upon arrival to maintain the smooth and safe parking for all. Also, for car drivers £10.00 per car or more than one in the car £15.00.

Pedestrians entrance fee £5 per person (payable on the gate on the day cash only please). Children under 16 and OAP free entrance.

Please purchases your tickets to be part of this event. this can be done in a number of ways. Click on the link below or you can purchase your ticket/s pay at the entrance to both sites. if you purchase your tickets at the entrance of either site, can this be cash to prevent holding up riders/drivers and pedestrians please. Other riders/drivers across the UK can join in this ride from distant locations rather than ride to North Weald to participate in this event. If you wish you can join us at a meeting point, we will be stopping at Peterborough services which is junction A1(M) with A605 at around 1300 hours. Then we can ride together onto Newark Showground There has been two routes set out which will be A roads and motorway. This is for the learner riders that wish to take part. Both routes can be supplied if you require this

All proceeds generated from this event will go to the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation, ensuring that Grace's name and legacy continue to live on and also thrive within the motorbike community.

Grace had a special connection with motorbikes, particularly her beloved Vespa. Let's come together as a biking community to make this day truly special for her family and to ensure that Grace's memory lives on in a way that would make her proud.
