Story
It’s been many years since I’ve climbed a mountain!
Jan and I have joined together with 50 other BTF gym goers to conquer the highest mountain peak in Wales - Snowdon!
Our Norwich based gym; Body Transform Fitness, are organising this mass hike with the aim of raising much needed funds for the charity: East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
EACH provide care and support for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, while supporting their families, across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Last year, BTF raised an incredible £11,565!
This year, BTF would love to bring that total figure up to £20,000!
If everyone involved could raise just £65, we would already be nearly half way there!
Taking on a challenge like Snowdon is more than worthy of a few pennies from friends and family so if you can spare a few Pounds, Euros or Dollars for such a fantastic local cause we would be eternally grateful and you could smile knowing you’ve really made a difference to somebody’s life.
Here’s a little blurb on the charity:
EACH provide care and support for children and young people. They offer a family-centred, needs-led approach to care, ensuring all of the needs of the children and young people they care for are met - whether psychological, physical, emotional, social or spiritual.
Care delivery - can take place in a variety of settings, including at home and in the hospice. Care and support is provided by qualified nurses, clinical nurse specialists, counsellors, care assistants, play specialists, music therapists, art therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a family therapist, spiritual care advisors, chaplains, chefs and housekeeping staff, and a consultant nurse.
Care at end of life - the overall aim is to provide holistic symptom management, care and support for those who are nearing end of life. Care by EACH staff may be provided in the family home, in the hospice or at hospital, depending on the child and family's preference.
