Surely walking the length of eight tube lines is enough?
NO.
From the team that brought you 'District Line 2021' and 'Virtual Piccadilly Line 2020 When The World Was Locked Down' comes 'CENTRAL LINE 2023' - the 9th instalment in a franchise that makes Pirates of the Caribbean seem brief.
Following our triumphant taming of the Magenta Monster that is the Metropolitan line last May, we are taking on the Red Beast that runs through the centre of London, narrowly avoiding all the slightly earlier built cut and cover tube lines that we have already walked. It is a mere 32 miles, and pleasingly, 32 stops. Luckily, there are several major hospitals on this particular route.
Since 2015 when we started this foolhardy endeavour, we have raised over £13,000 for the UNICEF, Sands and Tommy's. The generosity shown has been nothing short of inspiring and all your support really has made a difference when trekking through Zone 6 at 7am.
Of course, if you are mad enough to want to spend your (hopefully) sunny Saturday with a bunch of ambling madmen, we'd love to see you at some point along the way. Last year a complete stranger shouted us a table and drinks at the end point, so if anyone can find him again, that'd be great.
Any sharing of the post makes a huge difference to the final total, so please spread far and wide!
Lots of love,
D, P, M and T x
(This year we are fundraising for Tommy’s who provide expert advice and fund pioneering research to prevent stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth. Your sponsorship allows Tommy’s to continue their vital work – in short you’re helping save babies' lives.)
