Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Jeanette, my wife and partner of 52 years has Alzheimers. I nursed her for 9 years but eventually had to give up and now she is now in a care home where she gets loving care. I play ukulele around the Care Homes and Alzheimers groups in Fife but, as a long distance sailor I felt I could do better so have entered my Catamaran Grey Dove in the Island Sailing Club Round the Island Race at Cowes. This will be a challenge as it involves over 1000 miles of sailing just to get there and back to Fife, as well as the Race itself compounded by being 76 with a full set of prosthetic ankles, knees and hips. I am offering a prize of a race rugby shirt to whoever guesses the nautical miles sailed in the whole attempt, there and back again.
