Story
Hello! Thank you for dropping by my Just Giving page. Please read on and join me in this special adventure...
For those of you who do not know me at all, I am a retired, married father of three children living just outside Leicester. I've just entered my 80th year and thought I'd love to celebrate it by doing something 'extreme'! Then I realised it coincided with me completing ten years as a Volunteer Driver at our incredible local hospice LOROS. The experiences and friends I've made there have been amazing and inspirational, particularly since I was diagnosed myself with prostrate cancer last August. Volunteering at LOROS has helped me focus during my scans and radiotherapy treatment because I've met so many less fortunate than myself. I'm not complaining, instead I'm full of admiration for the doctors and nurses there, who show such care and compassion. So how better way to say 'thank you' than by helping them maintain those very valuable palliative care services they give in many forms to the Leicestershire and Rutland communities.
Upon consulting LOROS's dynamic fundraising team, I decided to undertake a charity skydive on 21st September 2024 at Sibson airfield near Peterborough. I have completed the medical checks and the British Parachuting Association certificate has been signed, so I'm 'fit to go'!
Please will you help me raise funds for such a worthy cause? - 'the sky's the limit'
I'm setting no targets but I have to guarantee £400. It would be fantastic to absolutely smash that. You can read all about this LOROS event and more by visiting:

It really would give me so much pleasure to help the many caring services LOROS offers. It is a truly inspirational place.
Please show your generosity, whatever it maybe, and support me in this exciting adventure.
Thank you for reading this. Lets do it!!!
