My name is David Hanrahan.... little bit about me I'm 33 years old and spent many of those years easy led going out most weekends drinking and smoking.

In the past month something inside me changed whereby, I decided I wanted to be fitter more healthy stop drinking and smoking. So I decided overnight I was going to make a lasting change to my lifestyle.

Myself and a number of my work colleagues decided on a charity boxing event resulting in me stopping drinking smoking and i started eating healthy and training everyday.

Over the past few weeks of the intense training and clean eating I am the best mentally and on my way physically to where I want to be. I am going to donate a £1000.00 myself on September 30th for this great cause and to show my appreciation to the change this has made for myself.

i can assure you it will be a night to remember, and I won't let anyone, especially the charity down.

All i ask is if my friends and family can dig deep no matter how big or small the donation, to contribute and help this chairy, this will spur me on, to reach my target of 8000-10,000 which will have an impact on this great cause.

With the help of our supporters we:

• Enable the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment

• Fund pioneering medical research to improve our understanding of illnesses and how best to treat them

• Create welcoming, friendly environments that allow patients, and their families, to feel at ease during their time in our care.
