Story
I will be 70 in 2025 and this will be my 3rd time doing this marvelllous event in aid of the EAAA.
The event is over 4 days and covers 435 miles (700kms) and climbs 14167ft (4318m) and each day we will ride just over 100 of those miles.
East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is a 365-day-a-year helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk. They exist to save lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air to seriously ill or injured people in the region. They do not receive regular direct government funding and the £17 million needed to raise each year comes directly from charitable donations. EAAA are only able to keep airborne thanks to their incredible supporters.
Every donation received, no matter how large or small goes towards the running costs of the EAAA and each year the event takes place there will be at least 1 or 2 deployments costing nearly £5000 each time it takes to the air.
Thank you.
