Did you know that around 24% percent of young homeless people are LGBTQ+?
On Thursday 8th of June, we will mark Pride Month by setting up a fundraiser equal-tea bake and sale stand at the canteen on the 1st floor.
All gathered proceeds will go to Stonewall Housing* (more info below), a UK charity that supports LGBTQ+ people struggling with homelessness

*Stonewall Housing is the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ homelessness charity. They help LGBTQ+ people in the UK who are experiencing homelessness or living in an unsafe environment.
They provide housing advice, mental health advocacy and support for people fleeing or who have fled domestic abuse. They also have a supported accommodation scheme in London. Founded in 1983, they're the only charity in the UK working with homeless LGBTQ+ people of all ages. They support over 2400 people every year – though they know there are an estimated 64,000 – 128,000 LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness in the UK who would benefit from their support. They're fighting to end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a safe and secure space to call home.
